Remember your “1st”?

Carter is a special little guy to me, and he turned the big ONE recently!  I traveled to the park with him and his mom and older brother for some candid shots of him.  And what do 1 yr olds do best???  They are constantly on the move!  As I tagged along behind him we had some fun before getting too tired!  Check out these photos from the session!

I’ll be the FIRST to admit how adorable little girls can be! In a world surrounded by little boys I find myself wanting a little girl that I can dress up and do girly stuff with.
Lucky for ME (and my husband, haha) I’m content when I’m able to photograph little girls from time to time. Here’s a couple photos from my latest session with 3 little girls. They were so fun to work with, and the smallest one had a mind of her own! Check out the photos!

It’s Raining, It’s Snowing……

Well, along with the lovely winter temps here in Las Vegas, we apparently also get the occasional rain shower here in the valley.  Anyone up in the mountains is lucky enough to get the snow.  We know the way to the snow though, so they aren’t the only lucky ones.  A couple of weekends ago we took the kids up to Mt. Charleston to play in the snow and go sledding.  Whew… what an adventure with two little kids!  Let me tell you though, they did BETTER than ME at sledding!  Guess that’s the beauty of childhood…. you have no limitations.    Must be nice!

Soooo, I got the chance to take some gorgeous shots of a little boy that goes to the CDC where I work.   We did a session with him and his older sister Katie.  They were a treat to work with and did so wonderful.  The session was QUICK (rare i know!) and the photos turned out edgy and “old-timey” just how I wanted them to!  I’ll give you a few teaser shots of course, but you can check out the rest on my facebook.com/postonphotography

LOOK how tiny he is…… only 5lbs.  This is Daniel, and I got the opportunity to take photos for him and his family Saturday at their home.  They were great to work with, very easy going….. and despite having a new baby, everything went pretty quick!    Check out a few more snapshots from this shoot.  The session will be posted on my website once they are all edited.

New Photo Galleries

If your wondering how the site is coming along, wonder no more…….. just go check it out for yourself if you haven’t already.  Just today I’ve added 4 (yes FOUR) new photo galleries.  It took some time to get everything edited and resized but they are now up for your view pleasures!!!!

I’m really enjoying the work that I’m able to do as a photographer!!!  Just this past weekend I had the chance to meet this elderly couple who let me photograph them.  After talking with them for a few minutes you could clearly see how very much in love they were and it touched my heart.  They even told me that they are getting married next month….how sweet is that!?!?  To think that just because your old you can’t find love or obtain love is a misconception.  I hope that when I’m as old as them I will have people looking at me adoringly and asking to take mine and my husband’s photo because we are just “too cute for words”!!!

Welcome to my corner of the world!

Well, this is obviously my very first blog post.  I”ll do my very best to update as often as time allows me.  I am married and have 2 small children, so my guess is that it won’t be an everyday thing, lol.  The kids take up MOST of my free time and the other bit of it usually goes to editing photos!

Although I’ll have my website up and running SOOOOON {hopefully}, I’ll still post a few random shots of whatever session I’ve recently shot.  That way you get just a taste of my work!  Maybe it will make you want to come back for more!!! 

On that note…… looking forward to blogging again real soon!
